Melvin Lee Riddle

Melvin Lee Riddle, 76, of Burkburnett, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at his home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, March 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Light House Church in Burkburnett with Rev. Bobby Scott officiating.   Interment will follow at Charlie Cemetery under direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.

Melvin was the son of George and Minnie (Graham) Riddle.  He was born February 16, 1936 inMcAlester, Oklahoma.  Melvin enjoyed drinking coffee with his buddies.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing his guitar.  He also was a collector of knives and a roofer by trade.  Melvin was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.  He is survived by his wife Abbie Louise Riddle of Burkburnett, TX.; 3 sons, Allen Dale Riddle and his wife Karen of Dean, TX.; Gary Lee Riddle and his wife Dawn of Odessa, TX.; and Douglas Wayne Riddle of Burkburnett, TX.; Daughter,  Donna Marie Gonzales and her husband Pete of Burkburnett, TX.; 2 Sisters, Edna Dee Ray and her husband Edward of Whitney, TX.; and Helen Mae Gann and her husband David  of Graham, TX.; 6 Grandchildren,  Becky Newman, of Killeen, TX.; Rodney Newman of Abilene, TX.; Thomas Newman of Burkburnett, TX.; Brian Luce of Burkburnett, TX.; Brandon Riddle and his wife Tiffany of Odessa, TX.; and Kimberly Riddle of Burkburnett, TX.; and 8 Great Grandchildren.
